Terms of Use

Last updated: 26 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Walk With Meee Pty Ltd (ABN 83 656 526 215, “we“, “us“) for using the Walk With Meee app and walkwithmeee.com (together, the “service“). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Who can use Walk With Meee

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must give us true information about yourself, including your name and age range, and keep your account details up to date.
  • One account per person. Your account is for you alone: don’t share it or let anyone else use it.
  • You can’t use the service if we have previously suspended or removed your account, unless we say you can.

2. What the service does

Walk With Meee helps you find people nearby who want a walking partner, arrange walks, chat, and suggests public places to meet. We don’t organise or supervise walks, and we don’t run background or identity checks on walkers. The people you meet are other members of the public, not our employees or agents.

3. Your safety

You are responsible for your own safety when you meet and walk with someone. We strongly recommend that you:

  • meet somewhere busy and public for the first time – our suggested meeting places are a good start;
  • tell a friend or family member where you’re going and when you expect to be back;
  • keep your phone charged and with you;
  • don’t share your home address or other personal details until you’re comfortable;
  • leave if you feel uncomfortable, and call 000 (or your local emergency number) if you are in danger.

If someone makes you feel unsafe, block them in the app and report the walk so we can act.

4. Rules of behaviour

When using the service, you must not:

  • harass, threaten, abuse, stalk or intimidate anyone, online or in person;
  • post or send anything that is sexual, violent, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory or illegal;
  • pretend to be someone else, or give a false age;
  • use the service to sell, advertise, recruit or solicit money;
  • collect other walkers’ information or contact them outside the app without their agreement;
  • interfere with the service, try to get around our safety features, or use bots, scrapers or automated tools;
  • break any law.

5. Your content

“Your content” means your profile, photo, messages, walk notes and reviews. You keep ownership of it. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and process it only to run the service – for example, to show your profile and reviews to other walkers. You are responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

Reviews must be honest and about a walk you actually took.

6. Safety checks and moderation

To keep the community safe, we automatically check photos and text for inappropriate content, and our team may review content that has been flagged or reported. We may refuse, hide or remove content, and limit, suspend or close accounts, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or someone’s safety is at risk. Where appropriate we will tell you why. If the law requires it, or someone’s safety is at risk, we may share information with police or other authorities.

7. Ads and paid features

The service is free to use and shows advertising. We may offer optional paid features (such as an ad-free “Pro” membership). If we do, the price and terms will be shown before you buy, and purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time: in the app, open the menu (☰), choose Delete my account and confirm, or email us. See Delete Account for what is deleted and what we keep.

We may suspend or close your account as described in section 6, or if the account has been inactive for a long period (we will give notice first where we can).

9. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change, add or remove features. We may update these terms; if the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

10. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that:

  • the service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that walkers’ information is true;
  • we are not responsible for the conduct of other walkers, online or in person, or for what happens on a walk;
  • to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

11. App stores

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for the app or its support. Apple’s standard licence terms for apps also apply to iPhone users, except where these terms say otherwise.

12. General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that state.
  • If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
